Well if you live in calgary then you are covered in snow! so this brings me to a couple questions:

1) Driving in 2wd i have no lights on my 4wd indicator ( no green lights on my little wheels in the sweet picture) is this right?

2) The AWD system in delicas should operate in 2wd? as in a slip and grip system or i have to actively be engaged in 4 high?

3) When in 4 high i get the front to tires to light up on my sweet little delica picture on the dash correct?

4) Whne in 4HLc the center diff illuminated red and flashes.... how long does it take to lock the transfer case or will it continue to flash when the locked center diff is engaged?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions I rember a post somewhat descirbing the procedure but could not find it in the technical section

Thanks again :-D

- When in 2WD the rear wheels are lit green (if not the bulb is burned out, common because they are always on)
- AWD is the same as 4H on the L400. Being in 2WD is not AWD its just 2WD. 4H has a center diff that lets it be used on dry surfaces that many vehicles cannot, hence is AWD. Front and rear wheel lights should be green.
- 4Hlc is what is normal 4H on many vehicles, center diff is locked. Only use of slippy surface never dry pavement. Front and rear lights green and center diff lock light lit solid. If flashing forever then it either isn't locked or it actually is but the indicator sensor is buggered. Pretty common to be buggered in one way or another.
-4Llc is just like 4Hlc but in low range. Same lights.

Perfect! Time to source out a bulb! Thanks for the info!

How long should it take to engage 4hlc?

4-5 seconds to engage the centre diff. If it doesn't go in, stop and shift to neutral; that should let it lock in.

X2 on what psilosin said, except my center diff bulb is orange. It stays on solid when engaged in 4L locked.

lol I changed mine to UV purple. Mine never stops flashing in 4Hlc or 4Llc and the orange light flashing was giving me rage like a bull and sometimes I would end up headbutting the dash and snorting.. Purple is more soothing.
