So anyway

A little while ago, I woke up my SS1, which is a plastic sportscar made by the now defunct Reliant company, and after messing around with her for about quarter of an hour, the stereo suddenly sparked into life. She'd been switched off for about a year, so I guess it was no surprise it took a while. Anyhoo, in a Christine fashion, she woke, and played this to me, it reminded me of you guys here:

Wow, cool find, Yojimbo. I don't know a lot of Steve Earl but I do know that whenever I hear him ~ I really dig his vibe. I'd have to agree with the song insofar as northern Canada is a little different than the more populated southern Canada, bit more like the wild west, as it were. In fact we really don't have south in Canada, we have the west, the east, the middle east (Ontario & Quebec), the north and the really north. South is more reserved for below the 49th, which is often where we lay the blame for any nasty train robbers &c., who come to plunder Canada.

Right on Falco, i'm a big fan of Steve Earle, and have been ever since I heard Copperhead Road way back when, it wasnt until later I realised why. I'm not particular about any genre of music or whatever, but what I like about Steve is his tradition of oral story teller, something that Springsteen has also moved into. I love history and stories, and playing it out in music, to me is a cool thing. So I shall abuse this thread a little more with some tunes, you guys may appreciate them, you may not ;-) feel free to throw in some of your own. As its a delica site here's a couple of more roadtrip style tunes:

I'd love a roadtrip through the wilds of canada, but somehow I expect thats another pipedream..
