Hello All,

As a lot of members live in Vancouver I am wondering if you all could give me a idea of things I could do there this summer. I will be there around July 29 - August 3ish give or take a day. I am flying :-( as I dont have enough vacation to drive out there.

Thanks,

Russell

As a tourist to the west coast myself, I would say the highlight for my wife and I was attending a mini meet. Highly recommended if there happens to be one going on. I flew out there last time also, and didn't know if I'd have my van by the day of the meet, but I had offers to pick us up if needed, heck there were even offers to pick up our whole family from the airport, and take us to our destination if needed. You will not find a better group of people.

If the timing works out, I'd pick you up. Just let us know a good time for you and we'll organize a meet. As for things to do, Stanley Park is an obvious one, take a drive up Cypress and stop at the viewpoint, Granville Island, Shop West 4th, visit the many beaches, take a ferry ride, etc. I can come up with a big list and pm you if you're interested.

A homecoming to visit your Deli Relatives in Another country .... ahhhh it will be just like one of those nightmare movies when you visit those really weird second cousins who play banjo music on the front porch ... and you worry IF you can politely escape.

Yes, definitely we can organize a Deli Meat in your honour. What's your schedule? Are you alone or with family?

And let's find you a nice deli family to stay with ... or have you already got accommodation? Nick lives near the airport, and many of us are within a half hour drive of the airport, so don't pay expensive skytrain.

What else can we schedule? how about a visit to CVI to see how to do a specific repair that you've been procrastinating doing so you can go back home to do it?

The TardisDeli might be away on a canoe trip ... well not ON a canoe ... but transporting the canoe (my new canoe actually fits INSIDE the L300).

Which Deli-Folk can offer a day's sightseeing?

Step Right Up Folks, volunteer to help one of OUR community.

Cheers Christine.

If you like fireworks, the Festival of Light is on July 27, 31, Aug 3rd.
It's a big deal in the west end of town.

I think a meet would be awesome!!!

@Nick, a list would be really cool, if you don't mind. So far We are doing a food truck tour, prob gonna go to Stanley park.

@Christine, Winnipeg may be in the middle of the Praries but its still a part of Canada . If anything Manitobans, or more so Saskatchewans are your scary banjo playing cousins.

So far we ( my wife and I) are staying in a hotel right downtown. We or I have August 1 open for a meet if it could happen. It would be awesome to get a picture of a whole row of delicas. The most I have seen in one place is 3.
