friends dog ate my seat belts in a Jeep YJ... I went to home hardware and got exact match seat belt webbing and took apart the seat belts and replaced the webbing.... I followed the stitching pattern with my machine and even re-sewed the DOT labels in...cost me under $10.00 for all the seat belts...

Other then that wrecker and $$$

Done right no one will ever know....and I know the seat belt would not fail. It was stitched exactly the same and I used Kevlar reinforced thread (I also had an industrial sewing machine at the time)....

It beat spending hundreds on belts.

Could the ones from the back row be moved forward. I did that with the female part and it was the exact same. Mine doesn't have shoulder belts so I don't know if they're similar.

I have the same problem, but I've managed to contain them to the back of the van. Then never got the very back seat belts, so I removed them and am hoping they'll work to replace the belts for the captain's chairs in the mid van. One of the mid belts is still decent, so I wrapped some chicken wire around it to discourage any more chewing.

Kevlar thread got from a sewing shop when I asked for strong thread....nylon thread would do...

Industrial sewing machine is a 1913 Black Singer with motor stuck on the side...Does one stitch but punches through heavy material...you could probably use a standard machine. I actually just turned it by hand doing the belts as they are to small to use the motor.

New belts and mechanisms cost serious money...

you can get special hot sauce at pet stores to discourage this....we have a 9 week old monster puppy at the moment only a matter of time till we lose something valuable...
