Where to get a Deli serviced?

I'm moving to the Comox Valley, and I'm really jonesing for a Deli of my own. I'm not that technically inclined. There's some stuff I'll do and much more that I won't touch with a ten foot barge pole. What is available on the Island, especially the Valley, in terms of places that will do repairs on these?

You are close to the Delica Mecca...Coombs Country Auto!

Anything closer to home? Do Canadian Mitsubishi dealers service the things? Private mechanics? How about availability of parts?

CCA is actually pretty close to you. They are very good and have lots of parts, know-how and customer service skills. Mitsubishi dealers will not help you.

I tend to favour a private mechanic anyway, as opposed to a dealer. But CCA is still quite a drive away. Then there's the question of how I get back. Hmmm...second car?

Talk to them, see what works out.

I highly recommend dealing with them. I still get parts from them, and look where I live!

When I lived in Victoria, it was still worth a trip there for parts/service.

They'll be my first stop in my search. We might very well have a second car anyway, (partly because my other half is an atrocious driver...did I just say that? Inside voice, Natalie!).

When us Mainlanders do the Trek To Delica Mecca at Coombs, we just park overnight in Glen's front yard (near the street, and near the front door of the garage so we are first in the shop in the morning). You will be happiest at Coombs, lucky you to live so close (some people drive there from Okanagan for annual check-up). Make sure yo book in advance, as this is busy season. Usually a mechanic arrives before 9 and opens doors for bathroom break, but my delica always has the porta potty and other luxury items inside.

Cheers Christine

I paid them a visit recently, and, yes, I'm very impressed. They can even set me up with a loaner if it comes to that, which is something you rarely see these days. But it looks like we're going to be latching onto a second car through family. There's also a place we found just a short drive away, up in Cumberland, which might do the trick in a pinch. Things are looking up in Deli-Land!
