Good evening,
I have seen many Pajero like the one we bought. One in Sundre (which I will try to track down) and another one the other day driving from Calgary to Banff. In this forum, is there anyone that has a Pajero petrol? Don't tell me to go on the UK forum it won't help.
Thank you,
Fred

Whats the point of buying a Paj if its Gas?
Other than a couple more accessories/options, why not buy a newer model year Montero from the states or locally for half the price as an importing from Japan??
Just sayin'.. :)

Pajerry, I love the sound of the 3.5 and I love the power on the highway. I love the look and fuel wise there is not much differences between diesel and petrol. I already have a diesel, so why not having a petrol. In winter, it starts like a charm, unlike the Delica. But if for you there is nothing else better than diesel, well I'm sorry to have disappointed you hehehe.

Haha, well. I agree the Gas model is likely better, in just about every way. In fact, other than running WVO, I see no advantage what so ever with diesel. I also think many on this site have been sold the idea it is superior. I have even heard things like, 'the low torque is better in stop and go traffic, since it s a diesel, and its better at crawling, since its a diesel' and all this other non-sense.
Fuel mileage is no better, power is worse, acceleration is worse, fuel is always more, then there is the more expensive lube, worrying about cooling and cracked heads etc etc.
I love the pajero, but to do it again, I would not go JDM. (unless for a land cruiser, or patrol or something)

Before I bought the 98 Cham I looked at the gdi. The comments in the uk scared me regarding reliability. Still loved the way they look though.
