A friend of mine bought a Delica about 7 years ago and he recommends Amazing Auto Imports, which is who he dealt with. I see lots of ads for Rising Sun. Any opinions of anyone to stay away from or anyone that is exceptional? Once again all opinions and input are appreciated.

Any dealer that is active on this forum is better than one who isnt on this forum, dealers need to keep their reputations good. I suggest make a spreadsheet with questions, and with spaces for each essential item, then with each dealer write down EXACTLY what they say they will do and include with the vehicle. Get them to initial each line that you have written their comments on. Then when you do buy it, get them to repair and replace ALL the items as promised, without extra cosr, and NEVER drive it off the lot until all are fixed. Remember once you drive it away from the lot, you have no proof that the problem was there before you drove it like a maniac up hills and down. Also, before you buy, get a separate mechanical pre-purchase inspection, with you there to see and hear all the comments. well worth $100 or so. come to a delica meet and crawl inside several so you know what you like. welcome to our cult. christine.

I bought my 1998 l400 from rising sun this spring. Steven is great. Bought without seeing it. Flew in from Saskatoon and Steven picked me up at the airport. Checked it over, got the permit and presto. It was as described. Much kudos to Steven at RSI
