Block heater mess

I figured it was time to get a block heater put in to the L400
I had done the L300 myself but due to my health figured it would
Be less stress to get a shop to do it.
I printed off a few pictures showing the frost plug, what should
Or could be removed to ease access ie air box and picked up the
Right block heater. Booked it in and.....
Lazy mechanic. He didn't want to go in from the top, said it was
impossible. I got the immediate impression he's one of those
guys who likes his hoist. Time I got there he had the exhaust off
as well as well as all the right wheel ,made a mess of my drl's
And who knows what else. A 1.5 hour job turned into a f@'k show.
Being as I was supposed to head to Edmonton I arranged a different
vehicle and left. I let the owner and manager know I wasn't happy
at all and his mechanic turned it into a big hour job and it didn't need
to be. Not sure what the bill is going to be.
Guess I should have done it myself regardless. I'm sure I'm going to
have to go in and fix my lighting/wiring.
