Hi all,

Just a quick question with the rear climate control. When I switch it to full heat the air is only warm when I have it set to the floor vents only, if I switch it to the above or above below mix, the above one is always cold. For heat is it only suppose to work on the floor vents? Seems kind of strange if so, but I guess makes sense, heat rises, cool sinks. Just wondering

yeah i noticed the same thing in mine the other day, heat only works on floor vents in the back

Same case for me. Too bad because if heat came out of the vents it would be useful to defrost the rear windows a bit.

The fan speed selector on mine which has 3 or 4 positions only works on the highest settings. It stays turned off unless it is cranked up all the way.

What exactly does the "cool" slider do? like there is an on button, a fan speed slider, temperature slider, foot/mix/vent, and then a "cool" slider. Any idea what that last one does?

I leave it set to "cool"

Delicas are designed this way, rear heat only comes from the bottom, rear cold only comes from the top. That's normal, and that's the way it's supposed to be.

After replacing the rear heat cover panel/bezel in hers, and dropping my rear heat unit - the output side of the air channels are as Green1 described, seperate. It appears to be quite the over engineered weird system, but there must have been a reason to be built so - more then just warm air rises.......

Think most of us have turned on the heat - that never comes - and waited for the heat to come out of the upper vents

You can almost glue a bar to connect the vent position and temperature controls, they basically need to move together (cold is at the top position and hot is at the bottom position) move the sliders as one.

Also curious about the cool slider as well, if you have a temperature for hot and cold, what would there be a cool slider for? AC intensity maybe?

That's my guess... but I didn't get the part to fix the AC until last week... and at the moment it's a little chilly to tell what it does...

There's a valve on the A/C line and that slider controls it somehow, so if you have the A/C on (front control) you can slide that control up and down and you'll notice the air gets cooler when the control is up and A/C stops when it's all the way down.
