K&N filter for L400?

Just looking around the site, I wasn't able to find much info regarding the use of K&N filters. I couldn't find an actual part number or something that looked/fitted the L400. I did find a K&N model smaller, from a member here, but I'm wondering if there is anything close to our regular paper filters.

Here's a link to a Pajero 2.8L filter on the knfilters website. Would this be any close? Is the '95 Pajero 2.8L exactly the same as the '95 L400?

Thanks.

Though to be perfectly honest, I think a paper one flows better. You will save a bunch of money not having to buy replacements though.

2871 fits great with some slight modifications and destruction of your stock filter.

The 2871 has quite a bit more surface area than the 2877 and since the whole idea is to increase the airflow...

I can try to post some pics of my install later if you like.

The E-2877 is engineered for the L400. I've had it for 4 years, flows way better than stock...and (contrary to most people who have to much time to think about it rather than use it) it does a great job as a filter.

Brad.

That hurts man. I run the 2877. I have done an informal A-B-A comparison the last time I cleaned my k&n. I honestly felt the paper one pulled my trailer better. Next time I clean it I'll do 2 tanks on each filter and post mileage results.

FYI it doesn't matter which filter you run...you still have a 2" line supplying air to the air box...I opened up the bottom of mine. I'm sorry, my point was more for filter quality/breathability. Best 32 bucks I've spent, with a semi annual cleaning it's environmentally responsible aswell
