can't get her to start

Well I was away on a work trip for about 3 weeks and in that time my Delica was not started. I went to start it this morning and It wouldn't turn over. It seemed as if it was an electrical problem because the glow plugs would click on and then everything would just die shortly after. If I went to turn the key, there would be a clicking noise that sounded like the starter motor but nothing else. I confirmed that the battery is at a full charge, it is actually less than a month old. Does anyone have any suggestions to try?
Thank you

Clean the battery posts and connections. Sounds classic. Should get it running.

just a matter of disconnecting them and reconnecting them? Theres no corrosion or battery acid on them

If the battery posts look good still
undo them and look under the connections for hidden.
Maybe something is loose.
Look for some corrosion.
The wires going to the starter. (big thing to check if your starter
is clicking.. also give it a bit of a tap with the end of the wrench.
I've given a starter a good whack with a hammer before and never
had to do it again)
To the alternator..
Often that is the case once things get cold.

A good test for a solenoid going out is to hold the key in the starter position while someone whacks the starter. If it catches, your solenoid contacts are likely fried and time for a rebuilt.

Yep, sounds like the solenoid is sucking in but the starter isn't running. Most likely the solenoid is not closing the contacts to turn the starter on, but it could be the starter motor failed after the last time you drove it.

Never tried this on the Deli, but on some cars you can short the terminals as if the solenoid were working, and you'll hear the starter whizzzzzzz without engaging. And that determines that the starter is working fine, and the solenoid contacts are the problem.

In that case it could be the solenoid is weak/jammed, and the contacts aren't closing, or else the contacts are closing but are worn/filthy. Remove, disassemble, and service.

How do you know the battery has volts and amps? I would try a jump start.

also there is a brittle with age white connector in the battery compartment....if it comes apart or bad connection = no cranking.

you can also try the starter directly...or pull it and bench test it....

Yea I tried jumping it and that worked. The reason I thought it was full was because I hooked it to a trickle charger and it said the battery was charged.. Oh well it's running now
