Glow plug part numbers?
I've searched and searched on here but I can't seem to find if there's glow plugs that are available domestically and what the part numbers are. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Re: Glow plug part numbers?
Go to: Delica Canada Technical/Delica FAQ Section/Useful Links for Vehicle Part Identification Purposes.
Scroll down to "JDM Online Catalogue", click on the link and enter your VIN into the Mitsubishi field, click enter. Where you find yourself will provide you with every stock OEM part number for your wagon, including your glow plugs. Once you have the OEM part number then every parts dealer has the ability to cross reference this number for after market options (that's what their computers are there for).
You also have the option, possibly, of going to a Mitsubishi dealer. If you try this it is recommended that you not mention that you drive a Delica as many people on this continent believe that we whom are driving these foreign vehicles are the reason that North America is in the economic disaster that we are currently experiencing. The best thing to do is come in, smile, present the partsman with the number and ask them if they have it or can they order it for you. You may have to go to a Fuso dealer as they actually deal in diesels.
Another option is to order it on line.
I believe that with the glow plugs it is a better option to go with the OEM parts, as the glow plugs are better matched for impedance and less likely to fry your ECU, IMHO.

I bought these from Coombs. Use them - I highly recommend them as these have lasted the longest and work the best out of any other I have tried. NGK CY-55

Re: Glow plug part numbers?
Thanks Falco! I'm going to try and get the OEM ones if nobody has to order them.
Cregan, that's my second option. I'll either order from RMI or CCA. If I can pick them up and get them installed before next weekend I would be very happy!
Thanks for the feedback guys!

Re: Glow plug part numbers?
So the local Fuso dealer had the number in their system, (thanks Falco) but they couldn't get them for me. So the answer to my original question appears to be that no, you can't get domestic glow plugs! Unless you're a mechanic maybe. NGKs on the way from RMI!

Excellent, nice to have a set in reserve.
I think RSI had put a new set in mine when I picked it up last
spring.
