L300 High Roof Rear Spoiler/ Terzo Ladder combination??

Post by philmeup1 »

Supp Folks,,,

I've got a '93 Super Exceed High Roof with a Terzo Ladder on the rear. I'm thinking of adding a rear spoiler. Does anyone on here know if this is doable? Or will the ladder pose a problem fitting on the spoiler??

I'm assuming the spoiler is just for looks... I think they look pretty cool...

Thank's Phil thy

Not sure if it holds true for the Delicas, but I found that with the Honda Odysseys, not having a rear spoiler meant that on the highway, the vacuum behind the van sucked water onto the rear window and the rear wiper didn't do much.

That was for the 1997 and 2007 models, and in both cases I regretted that we didn't have a spoiler.

But maybe the rear spoilers don't make that much difference? I'd be curious to know.

The spoiler is designed to create an airflow down the tailgate from the roof, thereby stopping all the crap from the road landing on the tailgate, in particular on the rear windscreen. One winter three of us went snow camping: One high roof without a spoiler; a low roof without a spoiler; and an high roof with a spoiler. We were driving through a lot of snow and the low roof (me) and high roof without the spoilers were periodically having to clear off the snow from the rear windscreen. High roof with the spoiler didn't have to.

Incidentally, Jxm has one for sale (29th January, 2014) ~ Black spoiler for L300 high roof. Includes mounting hardware. $200

Hey thanks guys,

The reason I asked is for the one JXM has for sale. I actually did a search on here and found that it should fit with a ladder. And I guess it's from as well as function too.... This is great information.

Thanks for the responses, I think I just bought a spoiler.....Phil

There is... but it is a completely different format than the P35W aerofoil and nowhere near in the coollio department. Kind of an angular device that wraps around the top angle of the tailgate.

I guess I should post an update here to round out the thread...

I've purchased the spoiler from JXM. From the old posts I've read, it should fit with my Terzo ladder also mounted to the rear tailgate, Fingers crossed....

I'm an accessory junkie and when I saw one of these I had to get one!!!

So what's next....???
