Hi All,

I also posted this in l300 technical but need a quick response. I'm repainting the from of my car and want to know how to remove the sprayers on the car front. Hopefully it doesn't require removing the dash.

Best,

Erich

I havent done this, but I've read about it before, but I'm pretty sure you do need access behind it from the dash side.

Uh, Good luck with that one. About two years ago the hose came off my left side sprayer. I did not need to remove the dash but I did have to do the following;
Pull out the glove box (easy)
Remove part of the heater vents
unbolt the wiper motor (I let it hang)
then contort my arms for about an hour to get in there.
The sprat nozzles are held on with a clip. Which I took off then realized that I need three arms, one of which should have been 1.5 meters long. Fortunately I was able to round up a third arm on another body to help me.

Then bolt it all back together.

As for the driver's side - I think there is a ton of stuff that may need to be removed.

Note: If you go in there and remove the spray nozzles, my suggestion is to wire the hoses back on as mine just fell off on it's own accord. Being old and hardened.

I personally vote for painters tape.

Thanks Shaun. I had surmised some of that. I've order new nozzles and hose and fittings as I figure once I'm in there, anything plastic will fall to dust. I'm hoping the right side will NOT require removing the instrument panel, but can be accessed from the heater controls panel.
