I have a brand new combination switch that I ordered from Mitsubishi in Japan, and turns out that I don't need it. I paid $500 plus shipping. I'm hoping to recover as much of the cost as possible, but reasonable offers will not be ignored!

Hey JXM, I think I bought a rear spoiler from you a few months ago.... At least I think it was you anyway.

The headlight switch on mine is getting a bit tired. When I turn on the lights I have to wiggle the switch a bit to get the dash lights to come on. I've heard this is a common problem on these old L300's. I was considering purchasing a new switch when mine finally dies for good. But man,, $500 bucks... I didn't realize they're so expensive to purchase. It doesn't make sense putting a working used one back in there either.

Now I'm not sure what to do. I'm gonna start with pouring a nice stiff vodka...

:?

Hey Phil,

Sorry, I just saw your post now!! And yes, that was me who sold you the spoiler.. I hope you like it! :)

Yeah, unfortunately those switches are not cheap - it's especially painful when you buy one only to figure out that the problem was something else... I have Stephen at Rising Sun to thank for that! My problem ended up just being a loose connection down by the fuse box under the steering wheel. If you're 100% sure that the problem is the combination switch, I think it makes sense to put in a brand new one.. let me know if you want it, I still have it!

Hey JXM,

The spoiler turned out awesome. I have a friend who owns a garage so he painted it to match the colour of my van. And now I have a little extra paint for touch ups 8-)

I agree with you about the switch. Putting a used one in seems pointless. And having heard that this is a common problem on the L300's, it's probably not a bad thing to have on spare.

I'm kinda broke at the moment so I might just wait until mine dies completely..... It's been like this for some time now. But it still works

Cheers, Phil
