head swap 4d56

I'm going to put a head off a turbo 4d56t onto a non turbo 4d56 block.
the non-t is blowing out the air cleaner and has lost power. I figure that's cracked around the valves or else into the oil-way and coming thru the breather into the manifold, heaps of atmosphere comes blasting out when i lift the oil filler cap. or a valve not seating/.
the engine is not original and may possibly be out of a L200 but it is old as all heck so most likey matches the era of the 1991 Donor L300.
the donor has thick clouds of black smoke on acceleration as it has a cracked exhaust manifold with exhaust blowing out it so the turbo doesn't spool up and too much diesel is squirted in. but no blow by and heaps of grunt anyway.
donor injectors are coked up, but the head is good and clean and doesn't look damaged time will tell.
it took half a day to remove, in the rain and cold.
not sure which gasket to go for I might try the 1.5mm thickness
still to take the head off the recipient!
