Hello All,

On the bottom of my intercooler theres a fan with a motor. This motor has a nipple on the bottom that attatches to a hose. This hose will not remain on and hasnt been on for a long time by the looks of things. What is the purpose of this hose?

It runs to a larger diameter hose attatched to the brake booster that then goes to my alternator. I wasnt able to see where it went after that.

Its a very small ID, maybe 1/8" didnt measure.

Thank You,

Eric

Maybe a diff breather? They just figured to anchor it on the motor?

I would suggest it is a vacuum hose for some reason. The alternator has a vacuum pump that is used for the brake booster and the connection you describe would confirm that. Can you feel vacuum or is the hose plugged?

That would make sense lrp374. I have noticed the fan hasnt been engaging. I will check for vacuum.

It is not my diff breather as i know where that is.

Thanks for all the help.

Regards,

Eric

Does it look like this? Hard to tell as img is small. You need to post a photo of yours.
