Timing chain replacement, I need how-to for dummies!

I was reading the engine manual off this site, and looked through the manual I have, without finding any info that puts it into simpletons language for me.
Has anyone seen any threads on how to change the timing chain on a 4M40? I want to find out also if it's a ME job or a pay-someone-to-do-it-while-I-get-my-oil-changed-at-the-same-time, job. I turned over to 200k awhile ago and want to change the timing chain before winter hits.

Is it chuffing? If it's not chuffing, I wouldn't worry about it. You can also do a more scientific test:

It's not chuffing BUT I would rather replace it now and have 200,000 more km of at ease mindedishness.
That picture is, ahhhh, eye opening. I could do it, if I had a proper garage. I'm thinking that may be better suited to a mechanic. Damn.

Thanks, I have read through most of what I can find on the other forums. What I have discovered is that since my van isn't making any noise, I'm probably just going to replace the chain. I can't afford to pull the whole front of the motor off. If it was making any chuffing sound at all then I would replace everything, but at this point it's just peace of mind for me.
What I still can't seem to find is a detailed how-to on changing these. The UK guys seem to have all bought a kit from a fella with detailed instructions in it, but those don't seem to be on the site. I know they use a split link to pull the chain through the motor by hand cranking it, I do have the manual with all the timing info as well. I like to read through everything and have all the steps in my head before I tackle something like this.
