Help Purchasing a Delica Van - Ideas and Options Sought
Posted: Thu Oct 16, 2014 12:26 pm
Hello,
I've recently joined this forum and am in the planning stages of purchasing a delica van. I've been reading over information on this website and others, and would like to ask if anyone knows of other websites or has personal experience/thoughts/preferences on the type(s) of delica van(s) that are available in Canada and would be most suitable to camperize (i.e., what you think is the best year and model to purchase for a camperized van). I'd like to camperize the delica I purchase for living and travelling in. I'm know I want a van that's 4x4 and has a diesel engine that can be converted to run WVO.
I'm currently considering buying a 1994 Delica L400 Super or Royal Exceed with the following specs: 2.8L Turbo Diesel 4m40 Engine, 4x4, Auto Transmission, AC, Power Window, Power Door Lock, Power Steering, Crystal Lite Roof, Power Shades, Sunroof, Anti-slip Differential (comes with Royal Exceed), Convertible to run on WVO.
Thoughts, suggestions, pros/cons, etc. on the best Delica van to camperize are all much appreciated.
Thanks!
