New member/Pajero owner near Edmonton

Post by Datsubishi »

Owned our (my wife, son and my) truck a couple years now and moved to Andrew AB about a year ago. We are mildly modded, but always looking to improve and add on to it. I have a background in auto mechanics as well as 12V electronics. Currently doing my welding apprenticeship.
Looking to get together with other owners (Pajero and Delica) and go wheelin, wrenchin, campin, fishin... Whatever.

Truck is currently going through a few changes and will post a pic or two when it's back together. Meanwhile, I'll try to add pics of a couple of our other vehicles that contributed to my screen name

Welcome to Delica Canada :M

Wow. Is that a Datsun 510? Beautiful machines. What year?

You can resize your images with pretty much most Image programmes. The reason we limit the size is because for one/ not all are working with ethernet and two/ every-so-often someone would post a file so big that by the time the page finally loaded there would be a picture of a lug nut where there was supposed to be a complete Delica. Picasa has a simple one that says "forum size".

Thanks for the info Falco. I'll check out that link and see how (if) I can edit size in Photbucket. Small pic doesnt do the Lancer justice, not that it's anything out of this world.

It is a '73 510. I've modded just about every part of that car. Not to everybody's taste, but I figured I got one shiny car, and a couple 4WD "trucks", I can go rat with the other car :-D Owned the Datsun for about 13 years.

Sweet 510....luv the classics, especially the Datsuns. Always had a soft spot for the JDM Bluebird from the 60s

Also noted you had some old VW's pics....looked like models. There was a genre of Hot-Rod in Alberta called VW HoodRide. All manner and shape of VW's. Many owners left the rust and dents from past history, the group liked to highlight the patina of their old rides.

If you deck out your Mitsu Truck like your 510 you might have a few other Delica owners drooling.

Thanks for the Compliment on the ratsun Big-Bird. 8-) I've never seen one of those Bluebirds (in pics, let alone real life  ). I love the rat rod look on almost anything, especially VWs. I hope to have one in my collection one day. One of my other hobbies is modding die cast models, mostly painting or ratting them out and doing motor/wheel swaps. .

The pajero is KIND OF my wife's, but we have similar taste. It will probably end up army green/olive drab type colour. I hope to be home in a week or so and I'll get a pic of it in its current state. Also have some lift springs coming for it! :-D
