hey I am just wondering if there are any delica owners in the Calgary area who want to go on camping trips, day trips etc with other delica owners ?? reply here or PM if interested

Once I get my delica here next week I'll be game when I'm not out on my festival circuit. What end of the city are you in?

im just south of Calgary, apparently there are a few delica owners in Calgary??? but find it odd none of em seem to care to respond on here, o well.... their loss.

I'm sure some will come round. Just south, that makes things pretty simple. I'm just on the most south edge myself.

It's great to see this thread- I'd be interested in hearing more about day trips in future. I'm also keeping an eye on the discussion about an upcoming tech session.

My rig is not here yet but it should be arriving in mid-to-late May. I'm looking forward to camping this summer with my family in the L400; I already have a couple spots in mind.

I'm located near the University, and there are at least a couple of other Delicas around here. Based on sightings and active numbers on this site, I'd guess that there are at least 12-15 in the Calgary area.

Not sure about the Delica crowd, but I'm active in another local vehicle community and it can be very difficult to round up people for a get-together; getting people to commit and then actually show up is a challenge, and folks who try to organize things end up frustrated.

Perhaps it will be easier in this community because the Delica is a year-round vehicle?

ya so far I'd say the delica is definatly a year round viehicle. seats do fold down into a bed for camping but DEFINATLY recommend putting an air mattress on top of seats for a way better sleep....ask me how I know....

I'd be down for camping or day trips or both. Slept in my Delica for the first time a week ago, now I need to buy an air mattress...

hahahahaha ya seemed like a good idea at the time, till I had to wake up the next day. if things go planned, I am thinking about heading back to indian graves this weekend. leave Friday and come back Monday.

I'd like to tag along up that way but I'm out of town for the next couple weeks. Could do towards the end of April or the second half of May though.

well since I lost 380 lbs (my daughters mom and her baggage) I plan on camping as much as possible and doing things I used to love doing. So if you enjoy camping with no wifi, cell phones etc and you enjoy drinking beer, playing guitar and other adult friendly activities around a camp fire, back country fishing/hiking ....let me know. camping season is just starting and the rest of the roads at indian graves open up april 30th.
