How much oil do YOU put in when doing an oil change?

So every time I do an oil change, I can never seem to get the level right after. I measure it when I drain it, put back in a little less and wait until the next morning to top it up.

A day or two later I'll check it again, sometimes it's still a little low so I add a bit, check the next morning and it's too much now!!!

The dip stick in these vans is the most useless thing ever.

On a side note, I know if there's too much oil it can be bad for the motor. I run an oil pressure gauge, what is a dangerous psi? Right now my oil level is a bit above max on the stick. I'll check it again tomorrow, who knows what it'll be!

With the larger filter the 2.8 should have 9 liters total. Thats what my manual shows.

there are 2 different size filters that can be used?

I will be embarking on my first Delica oil Change soon. the PO included one oil filter not sure what size it is.

I will get 9 liters though I guess.

The engine holds about 9 liters but you wont get that much to drain. It usually ends up being about 6.5 liters for me. Somewhere around there anyways.

PS Costco has a great price for diesel oil, around 55$ for 12 liters
