$800 for a new tow bar? Screw that. I'm making one.

It's a simple exercise in applied overengineering.

That is what I would call a beautiful hitch. You must either have, or have access to, some great tools --as well of course a lot of skill!!

Maiden voyage- and it tows really nicely. You can hardly tell the caravan is there, except when going uphill.

growlerbearnz, as someone who used to work in the rv industry for 5 years i have to ask....what the hell kind of rv is that and where did you find it? I have seen alot of rigs come and go from the shop when i was in the rv industry but never seen an rv like that. maybe its just the paint job on it but it looks like a KILLER camping setup you have there my friend!!

The caravan is a Niewiadów Predom n126nt, a tiny 'van made in Poland, allegedly small enough to be towed by a Fiat 126. The paint job is my own- usually they're just white and grey. It weighs 750kg from the factory (ours is "upgraded" to 1000kg), sleeps 2, has full bathroom (shower, basin, cassette toilet) and kitchen (sink, 2 burner hob, refrigerator). It's the cutest little caravan in the world.
Ours came from the UK- they fit in a shipping container easily, so not too difficult to ship.
They were sold in Canada in the late '80s as the Captain, there was an even smaller model called the Cadet. I think they're still sold in the UK as the Freedom Jetstream.

The hitch and the caravan are killer. I bought an E & H Hitch from BC. It's quite awesome, however, I can't get my spare tire to fit back up in there. Luckily there's vodka to ease the pain......
I'd love to see the inside of that camper you have there. I bet we all would:)
Cheers, Philthy
