need assistance in vancouver!

friend just picked up an l300 last night, we limped it from Squamish to Vancouver at 1:00am doing 15kph the whole way... Injection pump is so far out timing we were worried about melting down the engine. Parked in Vancouver currently but still need to make it to abbotsford. Any anybody local have some tools they could bring past? I think the pump is out one tooth on the timing belt but we have only a pair of pliers and dollar store 10mm wrench....

Sorry to hear of your plight but my suggestion is .. Drive it to CVI in Richmond and leave it to be repaired unless... you have tools and expertise in Abbotsford.

ended up parking it in Van until I can get back out there with tools. No need to take it CVI, I already have a pretty good idea what is wrong. Inj pump is to retarded, #1 injector is leaking badly, i suspect it is flooding #1, and the EGR is stuck open, waste gate actuator is broken (worn through.. had to wire it up). all these compounding to make a fire breathing slow as molasses delica. It looks like the previous owner had a bit of a back yarder mess around under the... err.. seat...
