Anyone have one on an L400?
If so, would you mind posting a pic and letting me know where you got it?
I'm curious about whether the rear hatch will clear (open/close) with it mounted.

Amazon has lots, some were quite affordable. I never got one, decided i'd either have a bike rack or be towing a trailer.

I have one but I've only used it once.

I got mine on Amazon, and would sell it too you for $50 if you're interested.

The back gate still opens as long as there isn't anything too big in the basket.

The potential downside that I found:
May need to beef up your rear suspension if you're consistently carrying anything heavy
You loose a lot of ground clearance as the basket will catch coming out of a ditch / washout
My exhaust points straight out the back bumper so it blows soot onto anything in the drivers corner of the basket.

Princess Auto carries them too. My friend has one on his L400 and it clears the tailgate easily.

Hmm I wasn't thinking about ground clearance issues, but that could definitely become a problem.
My exhaust also blows straight back out (so same problem could be anticipated).
