Hi Everyone,
Long time ...
Just searched the site to see if anyone has changed their oil pan gasket (mine is 94 L400 swb) and I did not get any results.
Anyone know how hard this is to do?
Thanks, djelica

Not hard...but it's messy due to the black diesel oil! You need to have rubber arms or good sockets/extensions that get into the tight spots around the front differential. But the oil pan will slide forward once unbolted from the engine.
Draining the oil when the engine is cold ensures most of the oil is in the pan and not dripping all over the ground and the front differential. yeah I know changing oil should be done when hot but a hot engine and dripping diesel oil aren't fun when doing gaskets.
a good mess reducing tip is have a few layers of cardboard to soak up oily drips and keep them from draining your driveway or garage floor.
go to the carwash and blast the engine down around the pan and diff. Makes the install easier.
