L400 Shock Measurements

Post by pj_jazzy_janz »

After days of searching and finding lots of information, I've decided I want to replace my shocks. I'm going with Bilsteins, but how do I know which of the 400 000 options is the right one? I know I need stem/eye in the front and eye/stem in the rear, as my rear shocks are ECS. However, I do NOT know what the measurements of my extended and compressed shocks are, which seems to be the best way to know whether you're looking at the right ones or not.

I found this:

Eye top/eye bottom
14" compressed
23" extended

I'll measure the fronts.
...from Jesse, but there was no further post with measurements for the fronts. I also know that Jesse has lifted his Delica (and probably lowered it and re-lifted it and so on...) Are these accurate numbers for STOCK, NON-LIFTED rear shocks? Does anyone have these numbers for the fronts?

Have I missed this on some previous thread? If so, I apologize for adding yet ANOTHER shock thread to pop up when you search.

...also, if I'm completely off and going about this all wrong, please save me from my own ignorance!!
