Headlight issue?

Headlight issue?
I just replaced the low beam bulb on the L300 and I still have no working light. I know it cannot be the fuse as that would effect both lights. So whats going on? Hope this is a simple one!

On the L300 the low beam lights are nortorius for having bad ground connections the goofy spring that holds the bulb in place doesn't allow it to make a reliable connection.What ive done in the past was to solder a ground wire to the light bulb and then connect it to the ground wire.Cheers Jay
