Good day everyone!

I would like to know if some of you have thought of getting a Raspberry Pi (I just ordered mine) and use it in our Delica/Pajero or others?

I found a few videos on youtube (see below the links) and it would be possible to use it with sensors to have better data on our fuel consumption and much more. For less than 100$ and a few hours of work, I think we could get something cool!

Anyway, I will start playing with mine for a bit and might just get another one (they're only 45$) and install it.

I know, there is already the gauges out there and apps, but I don't think there is nothing like this especially for less than 100$.

Any thoughts on this?

I have four Raspberry Pi's. Been running those for a while. I have Two B+ and two Model 2 Pi's.

I looked into using one for a carputer, but there is a lot of work involved and I have not finished my basic Delica mods yet!

You will want to buy a USB battery backup, and probably an attachment that automatically shuts down the Pi after you turn off the engine. Since the Pi has no off switch, when USB power dies, it hard-crashes.

Yes I've been learning about the basic stuff with the Pi like the on/off issue. The links that I've posted, one guy actually developed the coding and is free to use.
As I said, yes I could get an actual gauge for what I need, but I think to have it right on the media center screen is pretty sweet.

I will be doing no something similar on my VW Jetta Sportwagen.

Problem with my Delica is that it is not ODB, so none of these would work. Sure, the connection is there, but the protocol is different. However, my Jetta will work with the raspberry pi.
