I just re-attached the wiring for the front sunroof/crystal lite shades by the front lamp. Naturally, I tested everything to see if it was indeed as simple as plugging it back in, and it was: success!!

Sunroof opened great, closed great, but as soon as it nestled into its closed position, it started clicking really loud and didn't stop until I pressed the 'open' button. Doing that didn't open it, but it made it stop clicking. A lazier me from a year or so ago would say "good'nuff" and call it a day. But I kinda wanna figure this out. It opens again even after the clicking, so it's not stuck on rails or anything, it sounds like the motor is trying to keep closing it after it's closed. Any ideas as to why it does this? Or even better, how to fix it? It doesn't seem like a big problem, especially since we've been living without the ability to open it until now, but it would be nice to have it taken care of.

I had the same problem with mine and it was due to it not being timed (cant think of the proper word for it) correctly so that the motor thought the sunroof wasn't properly closed despite it actually being closed.

1. Lower the motor down so that it disengages from the closing cable.
2. Make sure the sunroof is closed properly and then press the button to close it.
3. The motor will turn round until it gets into the close position and stop.
4. Tighten the motor up again and then try opening and closing the sunroof, it should be back to normal.
