Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Fan clutch rebuild or new!

Post by ChuckBlack »

Hey, has anyone been upgrading their fan clutch? I'm no expert in fan clutch but I understand their principles. Meanwhile, when engine is hot and running, i can stop the fan from turning with at idle and it will actually turn counter...

Hi there,
similar here on the L300, bought a cheap aftermarket 50$ replacement and then found out the fan clutch can be reconditioned if it just lost the silicone oil in it. Bought some at the model engineering shop (used for model cars suspension) with the right viscosity (found on the internet) and refilled. No problem since and the replacement is still sitting in my shed.
