4m40 videos on YouTube

I strongly suspect my Delica needs a new head gasket or new head gasket + cylinder head, but am not sure. I am not a mechanic and there aren't any 4m40 experts on the East Coast though I did find some Jacks of all trades who seem to be able to work on any kind of engine (including Back Hoes).

If it's really bad I was wondering if swapping the 4m40 engine for a Pajero's 4m41 might be more interesting.

I also had mixed experiences; one shop cracked the rain guard on the driver's side, I think they opened the door too quickly and it knocked against a metal post near their lift (they didn't have a lot of space in their garage bay). Another repositioned the wires for my fog lights and a month later they stopped working -- I think he may have pinched the wires too much.

I notice there isn't that much on YouTube related to the care and maintenance of 4m40 engines.
Andy Dodd has some.
I saw one video for a head gasket repair but it's for that gasoline Delica... I have a 1994 PF8W.

Compared to other vehicles though there aren't many videos. Maybe all Delica mechanics are introverts? :?
Maybe the British mechanics uploaded their videos elsewhere, perhaps Vimeo or some other site I don't know about?

I was wondering if there are more online but I just haven't found them.

Oh and posting videos showing noises and smoke coming out of engines doesn't do anyone any good.

:-P

Believe it or not but Fanning or any other Caterpillar Equipment dealer that has a diesel tech should be able to help. CAT uses the 4M40 in some of their small tracked backhoes. the engines are almost identical and should pose little problem for the CAT tech.
