Is it because I am new to Delicas?
Where can someone buy new parts WITHOUT being gouged?
I've gotten a couple of things from a few dealers (I won't mention names) and they ask ridiculous prices for some things
eg; Air filter for $65 - That's just insulting

I think dealers everywhere outside of Japan hear "JDM import" as "$$$ $$$$$$".
I like
https://www.amayama.com/en, their prices are quite reasonable even after you add the shipping, and they have genuine Mitsubishi parts.
I've recently ordered from
https://oemmitsubishiparts.com/ (AKA Southwest Mitsubishi in Texas) and their prices were only marginally more expensive than Amayama. I imagine shipping within North America might be cheaper than from Japan.

Hey man, check out Rocky Mountain Imports. Mom and Pop org, best prices locally. Might take a couple tries to email but if you give them a ring you'll get some decent quotes. My air filter was like $35 before tx.

You really need to shop around to get a feel for things.
There are the local (Lower Mainland) JDM suppliers:
- Maximum Overdrive
Amazing Autos
CVI
Silk Road Auto
Rising Sun Auto Imports (RSI)
Japanoid
On the Island:
- Coombs Country Autos
Rocky Mountain Imports (RMI)
There are more. Some dealers will gel with you, some may not. Just remember that they are in business to make money. Ask questions, find out where the product is coming from. For example: A Korean 4D56 will fit in a Delica but the parts don't necessarily interchange with a Japanese 4D56. The China Motor Company (in Taiwan) is in business with Mitsubishi, as is Hyundai in Korea. Actually, so is Chrysler, Ford (at least has been) and others.

				Hi Evan,
You're not reading the thread, are you? You're in Victoria according to your avatar. Coombs Country Autos is a couple of hours up the road from you. This is theirwebsite: www.ccautos.ca.

				Hey there,
We are on the hunt for roof racks for our 1998 Delica L400. We want to put a Thule tub on it, so don't need the basket...just roof bars.
We are north of Victoria, but we've already contacted Coombs Country Auto and Rocky Mtn Imports and they have no info nor inventory.
Any recommendations for what fits? We'd like a used pair, but not sure which products might do the job.
Thanks.
Andrea & Jeremy
