What brand have you used and what is your opinion on the quality?
I was told that after market ball joints lasted about 3 years, whereas the OEM Mitsubishi ones lasted 10+ years (they are much more expensive).

Can anyone comment on their experience?

There is some truth to that.

I installed MOOG bj's a couple years ago now with heavy abuse. They're still solid. The only issue was the grease nipple wasn't exactly aligned with the access hole on the A-arm, so it had to be dremeled out a little bit.

Mind you, the originals had 210k on them and the lowers were just starting to go on one side.

I did a lot of research on toyota forums stating the same thing.

Mitsu is always better but $$$

I bought a set from eBay, shipped from Taiwan. The bottom ones are sealed without a grease nipple, but the tops came with a little bolt and a grease fitting.

I don't know how long they will last, but I hope they last me at least a few years!
