I am sure this has been discussed many times but I am a new owner and about to change the engine oil for the first time. I should mention that I am a professional heavy duty tech and have changed oil hundreds of times.
The engine runs current on 15w40 but I live in Manitoba and it gets cool here in the winter. We use a lot of 0W40 synthetic at the shop. I run it year round in my service Truck with a 6.7 Cummins. Do you guys think that is a good idea? I don't have a oil pressure gauge installed yet. I was thinking of using Shell Rotella T6 or maybe our house brand (New Holland).
I have also been searching for filters. I can get them cheap from Fleetguard (15 for the oil and 21 for the fuel) but I have to take a dozen.
I have been reading about filling the fuel filter with sea foam. I have never heard of that before. Is this safe and is it a good idea?
I know this is boring for you experienced guys.

Where did you find oil filters so cheap????

Yes run 0w40 for winter in your Delica Diesel, they are much happier in winter with that blend. Glow plugs can be a problem with early burnout so have a spare set on hand.

Sea foam in the fuel filter....if you want to clear the injectors (and only if they need it). Get a cetane booster fuel additive that has lubricant enhancers, your Injector Pump will be much happier..use at every fillup due to low sulfur diesel which will dry out your IP's seals.

I can source filters trough our shop but only by the dozen. If there would be more delis close by I would do that and then sell them at my cost.
I am using additives in the diesel. I used Howes on the way home from BC. Now I am using an additive called Forte. Some customers have told me good things about it. I will monitor fuel milage and report if it makes a huge difference.

Am I right in assuming the 204 in your name refers to the Manitoba area code? If it does, I'd love to get in on this supposed filter deal! I'm not in any immediate need, as we stocked up from Mardy when we bought our Deli a year and a half ago, but I am very interested in finding a quicker, easier source than BC. And if it's cheaper? That's win-win, baby!!

And yes, yes, a thousand times yes, 0w40 is what you want in your Deli for Winnipeg winters. It may not exactly thank you, but it won't just sit there refusing to do anything for 5 months, either.

I have also found a block heater to be enormously helpful during winter (we don't have a garage). And for the really cold days, we have an oil pan heater for that extra little nudge toward life. We also put in a command start to let the Deli ease into life in the mornings (without me having to run out into the cold in my jammies to start it!). It came with a turbo timer to let the turbo cool down, but that seems to have kicked it. But I digress...

I don't know how much winterizing you've done, but these things have been very helpful for us.

I will double check the filter situation again and update you. I think I could handle paying for six. I installed a espar heater on my van. I documented it and made a post on here. Sofar it works really well.
