I test drove a Delica D5 Diesel yesterday. Specifically this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 862317.htm

WANT.

Yes I know the 4WD system isn't as good as a proper Delica, and the ground clearance isn't as great, but throw a suspension lift and some decent tyres on there and you're sorted. The interior is superb like any Exceed should be- captains chairs, foldaway third row, lot of cubbyholes to store crap, and now with a bazillion airbags. The gas engined D5s have a CVT so they're useless to me, but the diesel has a proper automatic transmission so you can tow things without exploding. There's plenty of power, it's quiet, and it drives like a car.

It's also nearly NZ$40,000 (reserve price on the auction is NZ$38,000), which is still cheaper than importing one directly from Japan- Which means I can't really justify it when my current van only needs $3500 spent on it to be functional again. Still, it's good to know there's something modern out there that suits my needs- I was starting to think I'd have to keep my L300 forever!
