Hi all, very excited to say I now own a Delica! After talking with every person I'd see with one that would come through Joshua tree California and researching this forum obsessively I finally made it happen. Really pumped to get out in the wild with this thing, gonna need some work first though, didn't research enough I guess, haha oh well. I'll post in another spot for the issues I'm having. Glad to have this resource, I've only had odd(funny that the useful translates to odd but it does here) vehicles and it's great to have all the knowledge and enthusiasm in one place! I can't seem to get a photo to work, using an old phone, dang.

Hey thanks guys! Ya it's pretty badass, manual trans 87 p25w with 102,000 km, it's got a 1" lift and 30" grabbers and it really can rally, took it on a icy rough fire road last week and I couldn't believe how good it did. I don't have any heat at the moment and really that seems to be my only issue, drove it about 3000 km right away with no problems, except being freezing in below zero f temps. I have a leak by the top heater core I think, been so cold haven't had a chance to investigate. I can smell coolant though I'm not losing any or at least not a lot. No heat front or back, and I'm hip to the logical rear heat duct. Temp gauge is rock solid at just a bit below half even climbing hills. Guess I have to remove the dash to get to the core? Found some old threads talking about heat issues, but if anyone knows of one where someone has replaced the core with any documentation I'd appreciate it. Really hoping I can back flush and replace the lines and get it to work.

Well first off there should be some pipes running up from the floor to the centre of the cabin floor. The heater blower/matrix/vents are located in the central column behind the dash. You could probably swap a heater core by contorting, but the dash is actually not that bad to remove ... trickiest part is lifting is out and remembering which fastener where.

If your pipes are hot, and the blower makes sound ... then there is a really really easy fix which worked for me. Find your hot-cold knob at the heater controls looking behind the dash there is a long wire which attaches here and leads to some thingmajigs on the heater column - mine was getting stuck on something and I merely poked it while moving the knob and it fixed it!

If you have a leak then it probably wont work.

Right on thanks for the tip! I'll try it out though pretty sure my leak has something to do with it So I have a 4g63b in this, I would think the cooling system is about the same, anyone else running the gas motor on here?
