SWB is better because it's easier to park, has a larger breakover angle and it's lighter. L300/Star Wagon SWBs have a large range of trim levels.
LWB is better because you can fit more stuff. In L300/Star Wagon LWB only comes in Van (commercial vehicle) form.

Both are better

Good answer!!
LWB allows you to cram the seats full of kids and still have some room in the back for stuff. SWB has very little space behind the rear seats. If I didn't need all three rows, I'd go SWB. Like GB said, easier to park, tidier offroading.
As far as I know, L400/SpaceGear trim options are the same for SWB and LWB.

I drive a lwb. I live in pick up truck country and have no issues with parking. My thoughts are if you drive a big boxy van you might as well go all out. Every time i see a swb i feel there is something missing.
I dont do serious offroading. I love the extra room for camping.
