I'm a new owner of a 1991 L300 Super Exceed down in Seattle. It came without the altimeter/inclinometer gauge pod/binacle on the dash. Instead it had a plastic cover screwed into the dash (see image). I've tried (unsuccessfully) to find some images to show me what that space is supposed to look like and if a replacement pod would easily reattach. I have a feeling the three screw holes are not original. Also, the only cable I could fish out through the hole was the one in the images. Is this what I would need to connect to a replacement three gauge pod? If not, can anyone share images of what that area is supposed to look like and what cable I would need to reattach a replacement pod?

That looks like the plug for a two gauge pod the
Three gauge pod needs more connections for the temperture sensors.

Anyone know where to get that plastic piece that covers the front screws on the gauge pod? Mine came off and went out the window on a turn.

Thanks everyone and thanks for the photos underneath north54, that's exactly what I was look looking for. Also, thanks for the details on the two-pod vs three-pod connector Overlanderjay, definitely makes sense to me now.

Has anyone tried to rewire their two pod connector to fit a three pod connector?

Your profile doesn't say what kind of Delica you have, so I'm going to use mine as an example (a '91 P25W with the 2-gauge pod in Brown).

http://mitsubishi.epc-data.com/delica_s ... 73,852726/ doesn't have the pretty pictures, lists 81523 as corresponding to 6 part numbers, with colours and manufacture dates. In my case I'd need MB751309 (1990-1991, Dark Brown.)

Amayama.com list MB751309 as being available at CD$9.44

Obviously if your Delica is not a 1991, doesn't have a brown interior, or has the 3-gauge pod you'll need a different part, but now you know how the magic is done I'm sure you won't have any issues.

If you are going to install the three gauge pod you will need the temperture sensors the interior one is attached to the bottom half of the steering wheel shaft cover ,i don't know where the exterior sensor is mounted . easier to stay with the two gauge pod or install the three gauge and remove the temperture gauge and install something else.
