What does this do?

Looks like a switch the the throttle arm presses at high RPMs, but the wire disappears behind the firewall to the batteries. It's mounted on top of the IP.

That's the one. It turns off the AC for a few seconds (4-12 depending on... something) when you hit full throttle. Presumably to help with accumulating momentum (I hesitate to call it "acceleration").
