I think the Galium mod is a good way to go, simple and not so extreme that you're compromising reliability or driveability. I intended to do it to my Strada. I had already upgraded to a K&N filter and full flow exhaust and installed EGT and boost gauges. As has been mentioned a number of times on this forum, opening up the exhaust and getting more air into the motor made a noticeable improvement! So I was ready to tackle it and had read through it a dozen times. BUT I had the truck at the mechanic for another issue and had them advance the timing a bit and I think I'm good with where the truck is at now. I have the power I need (not too many hills in Manitoba), the truck is more peppy than before and I really don't work it too hard.

Please document the process if you proceed!

I haven't done the exhaust *yet*...
I'm running 16psi boost but I think it's running a bit lean there... it just seems to flatten out well before that point. I do have the additional gauges to monitor things.

The Gallium mod just seems a little odd to me...
It makes more sense to me to adjust the eccentric as intended if needed. I.e. if low end (smoke) and high end (power) screw adjustments are insufficient. Unless I am misunderstanding something, which is quite possible.
