I ended up getting ahold of one of TieMyShoes Grinded cams, so I thought I would post my thoughts on it after driving with it a while.

It feels like my van doesn't bog down as much going up hills or trying to accelerate at highway speeds. Usually I feel a large dropoff in power once it goes past 3000 rpm or so but with the new cam it isn't as harsh. I don't feel like I'm much faster but maybe because it feels like I'm just not allowing down as much.

I also feel like the EGTs went down a touch as well.

Hopefully Cam can chime in on how much it costs.

Glad your happy with the new cam. The grind is designed to move the powerband of the 4D56 a moee usable RPM range. The stock cam has a bunch of grunt out of the hole but rapidly drops off. The new grind keeps you in the power band while criusing or under general acceleration.

I will be doing a second run when i am able to source out more cores. Prices can be expected in the 300-350usd depending on the size of the run.

Any thoughts on doing a cam grind for the 4G64 gas?! I've been thinking about it but not really sure where to go...

afraid the 4g64 and myself have a rocky history and we are currently not on speaking terms. Being that the 4g is used in everything under the sun i would think somebody must already make a cam for it no?
