Being from Saskatchewan and having my delica's (2000 Chamonix V6 6g72) first winter coming up I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt (arguably mandatory haha) to have a means of warmth for my engine.

Does anyone have any experience installing a block heater? I see a/the frost plug but it doesn't look very accessible and could make for a tough job for my level of experience (very low). I also have a lower rad heater that should be easy enough to splice in but I'm not sure how effective they are with the design of cooling system/thermostat

I would love to hear what you've done to keep your delica warm throughout the Canadian winter! Funny to think Chamonix is the winter edition.....

Thanks!

I recommend a polar pad. Available online or at Canadian Tire. No cutting hoses, no tricky frost plugs, no fuss install and I have had great results. See if the 500 watt size will fit. Check my posts for more info and pictures.

I looked at doing the same, block heater was going to be to much work so I put in the lower rad hose heater. Has worked great for me easy starts down to -25
