Well after about of month of working on my l300 to sell I have come to the final boss of checking my to-do list off.

Before I took it off the road I had been struggling with changing my vent selector and it would stick going into the windshield defroster. Of course this happened in the early spring and being a dumb caveman my solution to trying to fix it was take my frustration out on it and tried to ram it into the furthest selection.

I have now realized after taking it apart that the cable probably had kinked and wouldn't properly sleeve through the guide.

I was wondering if anyone has had to replace this cable or if there is a fix or part number out there for me to try and source a new one. With its obscurity I have a feeling this will be a "try to find a part out" situation.

You've put this in L300 technical, but your profile says you have an L400. The answer's the same though: head over to mitsubishi.epc-data.com, enter your frame number, which will load a parts catalogue specific to your vehicle.
Navigate to Heater,AC,Ventilation -> Heater Control. That'll bring up a diagram of your heater controls, and you can look up the genuine Mitsubishi part number for the cable you need.

Amayama.com will give you a price on that part number, or put the number into Google and see if there are any generic replacements (unlikely, but worth a try).
