2002 Space Gear Error code

Hi there, just looking for some guidance
i have a 2002 space gear 6G72 v6
and engine light comes on intermittently, but frequently. and when it does it causes the engine to misfire and doesn't drive properly.
i've taken it to every mechanic in town and no one can get it scanned( not even the dealership) however the did get an error via the flash codes
error 53, IGNITION COIL FAULT #3/6
they changed the coils on 3/6 and it did not help, then performed a hard reset of the ECU. then performed a crank and cam sensor test, which came back fine
but the light is still on, and its still misfiring, the dealership basically threw their hands in the air and said your'e on your own, but said maybe try changing out the ECU or the ignition coil controller? they couldn't order the part and wouldn't be able to program it even if they could.
so i'm not sure my next move, no mechanic really wants to touch it without the proper diagnostics, i've ordered a JOBD online maybe that will give me something
also i'm in Halifax so not many mechanics have seen or dealt with this type of vehicle
not sure of what my next move should be !
any insight, recommendations of places to take it or guidance would be appreciated!
thanks so much
