Is a greasecar kit compatible

I have the option to buy a new greasecar kit from a friend. She says it is fully complete and is set up for a VW jetta... I believe the tank is shaped like the spare tire, so I immediately thought it could go where the spare is and I could possibly mount he spare on the front grill. If anyone can advise me why this shouldn't work or if there is a better kit to pursue for a Delica... My other concern is that having the WVO tank outside the cab will make it harder for the coolant system to heat it..(I'm in Manitoba remember).. I thought to create a mineral wool casing around the tank... I had also read that automatic Delis have two tanks and it appears that mine does, although running on empty I can only get 50+ L into the tank. It sucks because a common trip I make is to Riding Mountain just over three hours away, and we are on our last legs when we arrive and have to fuel up again... The poor mileage is getting me down about the purchase of this Delica. Does warming regular diesel give you better mileage?? Thanks for your advice.

Then you are not really running on empty. Lots of threads on this lately. You have an easy 15 litres left to burn. If you are scared, bring a jerry can. Chances are you will see the fuel light come on (then you can go about 40k till engine dies) then you are empty.
As for the kit being compatible, anything is compatible. Not sure what is included with the "kit", if it has hoses etc. then there is a chance the hoses wont fit but the basic guts of the system should be fine (tank, valves, heaters).

I think if you run a diesel dry then you will have to bleed the fuel through the lines in order to get it running again. Might be a good idea to know that procedure before running that test.

I've gone to completely dry twice in my van and had no problems starting it up again(with the addition of more fuel of course).
