Can't decide whether this is a Delica or not. Comes from http://www.lolpix.com/

awesome. also funny that you can see a film crew reflected on the van.

No idea if that's a delica, it sure has a weird spoiler looking apparatus. maybe it is a post-1993 L300? not sure what those look like yet :)

Nice motor although deffo not an L300. Sliding door runner is too long, rear lights are wrong shape, no 'dip' at front of window (front door), front door handle in wrong place, rear window should get wider at top - not narrower, swage line too low, front bumper/lamps all wrong.....I could go on!

First impressions it looks like an L300 - but the more you look at it, the more you can see it isn't (really wish it was though!!!!)

Impressive bit of kit all the same.... 8-)

The tracked-van looks more like a Toyota than a Mitsubishi. I agree with Mystery Machine, there are too many little differences for it to be an L300.

But if you want a set of tracks for your Delica, check out this site: http://www.mattracks.com/

Although not a Delica, there is a Kei van in the movie "Nim's Island" - Jodie Foster's character takes a wild taxi ride through some Oceanic town at breakneck speed, with the driver assuring her every few seconds that he'll "Take you you where you go!"

Quite sure that's a Nissan Vanette (aka Mazda Bongo). A decade old model but even back then 4wd was an option. I had one in South America and although they have no ground clearance compared to the Deli they are a classic Japanese diesel worker. Some like mine even had the dually rear wheel option for heavy loads......

From wikipedia
Although the subsequent L400 Space Gear was introduced in 1994, the L300 model remained in production in parallel until 1998. Thereafter, Mitsubishi sold badge engineered Mazda Bongos, an arrangement also followed by Hyundai (Grace) and Nissan (Vanette).

There is a 2-second shot of the cab of an L300 truck in the movie "3:10 to Yuma." Not in the actual movie ('cause it's a western), but in the extras, in a clip called "Destination Yuma" at time 13:19. Was only half-paying-attention until it caught my eye. I don't have screen capture with, but if you pause you can see it clearly enough. It's got a wicked set of tread on it, too. 8-)

From Jackie Chan's movie "Wheels on meals". I haven't been able to watch more than 20 minutes of this movie, I don't think it's very good.

We were down at the Roxy Cinegog (I know the name of the theatre's changed, but it'll always be the 'Gog to me) watching a double-feature of "Body of Lies" and "Zack & Miri Make A naughty website" and what should we see in the first film but Leo DiCaprio being hidden beneath the fold-down bench seat in the back of a ratty looking L300 so he could be traded to jihaadists out in the middle of the desert. Really, terrible things were happening, lotsa tension and looming death, but we couldn't stop giggling cuz of the van.

There were no Delicas in the second film, in case you were wondering.

the no 1 ladies detective agency. Has a nice shot of a Pajero about 15 mins in to the film. Plenty of other JDM's as it is set in Botswana.

A new adventure travel tv series and book features a Wicked camper converted Delica in australia. The show is a couple of the guys who did the motorcycle adventure shows with ewan mcgregor. They are now making a couple series's of By Any Means where they travel across many countries using whatever means of transportation is traditional or whatever they can find.

They rent a Deli in Australia and it is fairly uneventful, they mention there is a sticker on the dash that says "don't swerve for kangaroos or you will roll bad" and at one point they forget to fuel up and almost run out of diesel.

here is a link to a clip from the episode http://tinyurl.com/lfzehd

In the shot where they go outside to look at the vans, is that a D:5 on the very right end of the back row?

I've seen lots of L300s in various Aussie TV shows. They are just as nuts about their Delicas as we are.
