Hi everyone
We (my daughter, wife and I) are out on the Island for an extended journey, and are in the process of buying a delica.
We want to take it back to Ontario next fall.
I love the forum, it's been very helpful.
Any thoughts, advice about delica in ON,
availability of parts (there's a mitsubishi dealer in Kingston, are they helpful?)
winter diesel and WVO concerns
reselling value
blessings to all
Chrissy

When we bought our Toyota Sienna through our local Mitsubishi dealership about 9 months ago, I already had the Delica bug, so I asked what they thought. They basically scoffed at the mention saying how "...anyone who buys a RHD vehicle deserves the hassle of finding parts & service" & that "...one RHD truck they had in for repair spent two months up on the hoist waiting for parts". I find this is a very typical response from people who have absolutely no clue & have done zero research.
That's just my experience though, perhaps your dealership out there will be different.

When Ruminante recently talked to the people at Platinum Mitsubishi here in Calgary they were quite helpful, they said they can't really look up the part numbers for us, but if we have a part number (this website is great!) they can order pretty much anything in for us, generally it will arrive with their next shippment no different from any other part that doesn't happen to be sitting in the back room.
People seem to be having decent luck with the west coast dealers too now...
The big issue is in how you approach the dealer, make sure the first impression is a good one, do your research ahead of time and come in with a part number, make their life easy. You don't even need to tell them what vehicle it is for generally, just say you need part ###### and they'll come back with a price and a timeframe.
