Does anyone know a part number for an air filter for a '92 SuperExceed? Thanks!

These are a couple numbers I got on this and other sites, (but haven't bought them so can't confirm):

AIR FILTER:
MD 603446
HDA 5886 (or RYCO HDA 5866)
K&N E-4810

And this is the one I bought from Mardy, it's an "Advantage" part# SI100-083 and MD603446 (don't know why there's 2 part# on the box).

I'd give Mardy a call as he usually gets them cheaper than we can.

Hope this help!

I'd shy away from Advantage.

See the other post on this site where the poster did a forensic analysis of an Advantage Oil Filter versus a Micro and found that the latter had 150 pleats compared to the 75 pleats of the Advantage. I'd be wary of the Air Filter as well for that reason.

Rocky Mountain Imports is one place that sells the Micro.

Thanks for the info JMK,

I guess I'm lucky as my bus came with a washable air filter (that I still have to clean before re-using it) but good to know about the Advantage one... Once I take the time to clean my re-useable air filter and put it back I'll look at my Advantage to see if it's as you said about the oil type one.

Something else I should add...

I just check Rocky's site and seems like you're looking at $53 for an air filter. The Advantage was under $20 if I recall. Maybe you get what you pay for but that's quite a difference!

Yikes, you're right. I just went back and checked my invoices and didn't realize I had paid close to that. What's worse is the old one didn't look all that bad. The air filter for the Land Cruiser was $10.00 cheaper.

I think those other part numbers you listed would be worth investigating. I'd be more tempted to scrimp on the air filter, get a cheaper one, and change it more often then I would the Oil FIlter.

Smart man!

Once I clean up my re-useable air filter I'll post pictures and details so that interested parties can look up if it's still available.
:-D
