Up to Comox and back with a trailer

So we went up to the Courtenay/Comox valley this week, towing a utility trailer packed up with our stuff. I'd say the trailer was probably 500kg fully loaded, and there were 7 of us in the van (three adults and four children), and I don't think fuel economy was affected that much.
We stayed at Air Force Beach campground, at one of three cabins there. It's a campsite available to those associated with the Canadian Forces, so members, family, employees of DND, etc. This cabin was built by the Air National Guard of Minnesota (I think the sign indicated) - sort of a work exchange program as it was explained to me.
And of course, the front gate of the air base. This is where the maritime patrol aircraft are deployed to monitor the western coast of Canada.
